Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution

This product just became my new favorite skincare item! I have been struggling with dark acne spots on my cheeks for a couple months now and  this product is starting to clear them up. I have been using this for 6 days now and I can already notice my dark spots getting lighter. They are not completely gone yet, but the spots are a few shades lighter.
I apply this to my face twice daily, once in the morning and once at night. I apply it directly after cleansing and toning my face and before any moisturizers.
This product has a slight herb-like scent, which I don't mind at all. It also applies very smoothly and leaves a slight tacky feel to the skin, but applying my moisturizer on top of it takes care of that problem. I did not notice any issues with my makeup application either.
I absolutely love  this product and I will be recommending it to any of my friends or family that deal with dark spots.

The Wonders of Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a very large part of my life. I pretty much use it on a daily basis. I own a one liter tub of organic coconut oil from Costco. Today I will be sharing the things I use coconut oil for.

1. Hair Mask
Coconut oil makes a fantastic hair mask. It is ultra hydrating and it gives my hair a beautiful shine. Once a week, I slather on a bunch of oil into my hair from the roots to the ends. Then I put my hair into a bun and keep it overnight and wash my hair the next morning. I personally like to keep the oil in my hair overnight, but leaving it in for about 30 minutes will also do the job. When I wash it out, it can be a bit difficult, but I use a clarifying shampoo and that seems to do the job. I really relied on coconut oil after I got my hair dyed because my hair was very dry. The oil helped bring the moisture and shine back into my hair.

2. Makeup Remover
Coconut oil also makes a great makeup remover. Using oil on the face can be scary, but it is not. Coconut oil is very gentle and removes my makeup, even the waterproof stuff. I usually take about a dime-size amount of coconut oil and massage it onto my face and my eyes. I then wet a washcloth with hot water and wipe the oil off. Because I have super sensitive and combination skin, most nights I won't even use a cleanser afterwards.  Its great because it does not irritate my eyes or my super sensitive skin.

3. Moisturizer
Coconut oil is a great way to moisturize your skin, especially in these cold, winter months. After I get out of the shower, I will moisturize my skin with the oil and it helps my ashiness a lot. It is lightweight, but it will leave a light oily feeling, but that doesn't really bother me.

4. Shaving Aid
Coconut oil is also a great replacement to shaving cream. If I ever need shaving cream, I use coconut oil instead. It is a great aid to shaving and also leaves your legs super soft.

5. Exfoliator
By adding a little sugar into coconut, you can create a wonderful body scrub. The sugar will add the exfoliating factor and the coconut oil will leave your skin very soft.

These are the things that I currently use coconut oil for, but I am sure if you want more ideas you can look up some more uses for coconut oil online. There are probably hundreds of other uses.

Crab Face?

This is the picture of the crab face from youtube. The three of us failed to keep a straight face. My friend and I failed because we were just too excited and Evan Peters failed because he was very confused and found it funny.

Comic Con!

My Friends and I wearing matching skirts that we made
This past weekend was one of the best experiences of my life, although I am still exhausted from it. I went to Comic Con on Sunday! It was my first Comic Con and it will definitely not be my last. I saw a whole another side of life and I am very glad that I did. I felt right at home and I felt as if I finally found a place where I fit in. As I like to tell my friends, “I was with my people.” The people that I met at comic con were a few of the most amazing people I have ever met. You were not judged there, because most likely, everyone was just as weird as you. While I was there, I had a chance to buy many Iron Man Posters (soon you will realize that I am quite obsessed with Iron Man) and take pictures with many characters (Iron Man Included!)

Meeting Evan Peters
Although Comic Con itself was an adventure, I think the most exciting part of it was meeting the one and only Evan Peters! For those who don’t know who he is, Evan Peters is an actor on the show American Horror Story. He was the first celebrity that I’ve met and I am very ecstatic that I did. He was the most marvelous and down to earth guy. He didn’t act as I had expected him to. He was really easy to talk to and have a laugh with. Coming from an Indian family, I have a very difficult- to- say name. Everyone that I know has said it wrong the first time they tried to read it, but Evan Peters said my name CORRECTLY and without any hesitation. I could probably listen to him say it all day.

While taking a picture with him, my friend and I did the “crab face” which was made famous by Ricky and Kian on YouTube. Whenever we see a cute guy, we turn to each other, do the crab face and hands, and say “I want dis one.” We thought it was appropriate to do it in the picture (added below). He was very confused at first, but accepted it.

Overall my experience at Comic Con was MARVELOUS. I would recommend everyone to go at least once in their life. Comic Con was just another new experience to add to my list.

Marvelous Dreamer?

Dreamer? Isn’t that such a cliché name? Well I suppose it is, but I love it! That’s what I am—a dreamer. I believe that being able to dream is a huge perk of being human and it is one thing that makes us human. I can dream about anything I want and then chase after my dreams. If it wasn’t for dreams, I probably wouldn’t be who I am today. I believe that our dreams define us.
Side note:  I have a sweatshirt that says, “Dream on Dreamer” and I love that sweatshirt so much that I went and bought a second one in a different color! Now, I can wear it twice in one week without being judged.

As for marvelous, there really isn’t a story behind that. I just love Marvel and the Avengers.
